The Small Business Center of Surry Community College will offer three eBay seminars at the Pilot Center, which is located at 612 East Main Street in Pilot Mountain. Nick Hawks, an Education Specialist trained by eBay, will be the presenter for each of these workshops. These fun and fast-paced seminars are offered at no cost to attendees.

The first seminar “The Basics of Selling on eBay” will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6-9pm. Whether you are a business owner looking to stimulate sales, or a would-be entrepreneur wondering where to begin with little start-up cost, this seminar is for you! Attendees will learn best practices to use when setting up an account, taking and submitting photos, listing items for sale, taking payments and using PayPal, and shipping. It is recommended that you attend the first seminar before you attend the additional workshops.

The second seminar “Beyond the Basics: Techniques for the Serious Seller” will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6-9pm. This session is for individuals having knowledge/experience of selling on eBay who want to establish a continual retail presence. Topics include starting an eBay business, finding merchandise to sell, and resolving issues and feedback.

The third seminar “Open an eBay Store” will be offered Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 6-9pm. This hands-on course is a fantastic way to learn a step-by-step approach if you are ready to become an eBay Store owner. Topics covered include marketing your eBay store effectively and using the quick store tune-up feature.
