What is the point of a meeting when their mind was already set. That defeats the purpose of a meeting.
Like usual, YC doesn't allow change and listens to emotions over facts.

Is this the one that the commissioners had already decided against well before the meeting?

If so, I was amazed at all the people there who were against it that lived nowhere near the area and knew nothing about the details of it.
I personally know of one guy fitting that description.
Seems that he doesn't want a shooting range twenty miles from his house but has no problem running his lawnmower all Sunday evening while people who have to work are trying to rest.
