Hey everyone. "A Matter of Faith" did outstanding over the weekend. It beat all of the other movies at Jonesville in attendance levels, for the entire weekend. I just got news today that it will continue to play until Oct. 9. If you haven't been yet, you still have time.

I really wouldn't go if his wife and daughter were stripping before the show.

Chris;
For your ego I pray it will be a sell-out, but in all actuality I believe it will be a wash-out.

Folks as with any movie, do a little research into what it is all about and how others have viewed it. If the topic interest you take a look, if not save your money. I'll be saving mine.

Hey guys. "A Matter of Faith" will be playing one week from today in Jonesville!!! I've watched it already on the big screen today, and it looks great! I'm excited that you'll get to see it too. There's only 2 theaters in NC that is showing it on the 26th. The rest will be released at a later date, yet to be determined.

WE are not reading form the same book Dog, For all the folks who want us to see all the good works they have performed, I'm just pointing out that salvation is a matter of faith, not works.
Dog, I understand you don't believe, and that's fine, I'm not trying to convince you or anyone else that you must believe the same way I do, I am trying to point out to folks who read Chris' drivel that his brand of ultra conservative "Christianity" is also, in my opinion, not correct.
Chris is much closer to the Islamic terrorists and fundamentalist than he is to Christ.
Read my book, worship my way, pray my way, believe only as I believe or you will not be loved by God. that's Chris, sounds a lot like every other fundamental religious group, regardless of the high power they believe in.

So only you think he was so evil that god removed him as a gift.

I left out one word in that post. It should read you either believe in "God "or you do not. I do believe in facts that prove the earth is millions of years old, not thousands.

It is not that I don't believe in God, I do. I just don't have faith that Chris and others like him are correct in their interpretation of the word and actions of God.
Everything that Chris and other espouse is man's interpretation of God's word. Why do these words need to be interpreted or explained at all?
Christ laid out what needs to be done to be saved, the rest is just noise and confusion to those who read or listen to it.

You either believe or you do not. That is my belief.
This is a true statement White American. Almost. You either have to believe that a Creator exists or that He doesn't and basically everything exists by chance. Both beliefs take a pretty good amount of faith in something. I understand how it's hard for someone to just blindly believe in the Bible just because someone like me....or Chris says it's true. But, one of the best evidences of a Creator is the Creation. Just look around. Things are a little too perfect and amazing to be by chance or an accident even.

Dog, Just another quote form a review of this movie. As posted on GW and by FINS on other boards, the Christian writers do not feel this is the appropriate way to discuss the evolution v. creation position. One writer Chris has a strict young world interpretation of the Bible, saying that the description in Genesis of the creation of the world happened over 6 consecutive 24 hour periods of time. Many Christians disagree with this interpretation and have voiced their opinions in reviews of this movie.
I erred in not attributing my post to the original author, although I did set it out in quotes to indicate it was not my words.
Thanks for pointing out how sharing this quote could be confusing.
