The Yadkin Valley Bluegrass Convention returns for its 29th year!

Friday night will feature performances by Hickory Bend and the Fall Creek Bluegrass Band at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday will be competition day with the following categories:

* Bluegrass and old-time fiddle and banjo
* Mandolin
* Guitar
* Bass
* Dobro
* Dulcimer
* Autoharp
* Dance
* Vocal
* Bluegrass and old-time bands

Individual bluegrass and old-time competitions will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday

Bluegrass and old-time band competitions will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
