The Jonesville Historical Society will host a Memorial Day program in Mineral Springs Park on Sunday, May 24 at 4 pm to honor veterans, "all who have sacrificed some" and "some who have sacrificed all."


Guest speaker and program participants will be announced next week via local newspapers and radio.


Although Memorial Day is officially held on Monday, May 25, the Society is concerned that many veterans, especially those who have to work on week-days, often miss programs that honor their service to our nation.


As part of the remembrance program, a list of available names of those who fought in the Civil War will be displayed on the Veterans Memorial.

The Veterans Memorial consists of five sections of railing from the Hugh Chatham Memorial Bridge to which thousands of Tri-County veterans' names will be affixed.
