The Rotary club of Western Forsyth is hosting a comedy roast of NASCAR legend Richard Petty on Tuesday, September 26, at 6pm at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem.

“We are thrilled to sponsor this comedy roast of Richard Petty, a man whose achievements in sports and philanthropy are well known,” said Anant Venkataraman, Western Forsyth Rotary event coordinator. “We want to fill every seat possible at the Benton, not only because the King is an international celebrity, but because we’ll be raising money to benefit the Petty Family Foundation, which supports numerous charities including Victory Junction camp for terminally ill children.”

The evening begins at 6pm with a silent auction, followed by dinner, then the comedy roast, and a live auction.

“This will be lots of fun because we’re all planning to tell some tales on our daddy, and that includes some stories by my brother Kyle who will keep everyone in stitches,” said Rebecca Petty Moffitt, Richard’s youngest daughter who also serves as executive director of the Petty Family Foundation. “Best of all, proceeds from the evening will go to benefit our family Foundation.”

Tickets are still available: The VIP package includes a meet-and-greet with The King, personal photo, autograph, and a gift bag, all for $243. Individual dinner tickets are $100 per person.
