May 7 Bike/Car Ride & Show

1 p.m., a day-long event will help raise money for cancer patient Vikki Marcell, with additional proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The charity ride and show for cancer will begin with an 80-mile motorcycle ride at 1 p.m., registration begins at 11:30 a.m., starting at Yadkin Moose Lodge, 1432 Country Club Road, Yadkinville, and ending in downtown Elkin. At 3 p.m., the bike and car show and other activities will begin in Elkin, with the ride to arrive around 3:30 or 4 p.m. Cost for the ride is $20 plus $5 for passengers. Also, plaques and trophies will be awarded to winners of the bike and car show for best cruiser, best sport bike and best custom paint. Metro Jethros will perform on the balcony of The Liberty parking lot, while DJ Holmes will have music on East Main Street. There will be food, activities, T-shirts and more.
