Yep, Duke Energy S U C K S! Don;t you love that highly paid liar on their tv commercials telling us what saints they are. They are just as corrupt as the government. There will be a special place in h e ll for them all though.

Utterly stupid to blame Tillis. These coal ash ponds existed before he was born. Most of the NC legislatures in the history of NC have been solidly Democrat.
Duke has income from where? If not from customers, where?
Borrow the money? Repay it with money from where?
Ignorance is correctable, stupidity is incurable.

Exactly right that coal-ash cleanup costs will be passed onto customers....and those that voted for Thom Tillis and Virginia Foxx voted to LET THEM DO IT.

I try to log in on any of my computers, and it takes me to someone else's account! I have full access to their account. I can see their usage, their bills, their address.. and I can even shut off service and close their account!!!!!

So I use the iPad and try there. I just want to pay my bill as their site is not letting me. It says my "security password" questions have not been set up and it refuses to log me in. Funny how it never asked me to set up those questions to begin with (gotta be an indian thing). It says to "click here" to reset my password, but that goes to a dead link inside Duke (another indian thing?).

it also says to "click here" to contact them. I have to waste 5 minutes listening to the automated system (it does not let you skip any part), which also has instructions on how to type your username into the username field on the web (like who wouldn't know that???). I finally get to someone, after their automated system tries selling me CFL bulbs and signing up for their home energy audit.... and they say their web support team only operates from 9 to 5. There is not any "after hours" or "on call" support for their website. And the lady was extremely rude about it.

She says she can take a payment over the phone... but they charge extra for that. wtf?????

God I hate Duke Energy. I've told them for 6 months now that their web developers sukc, and what problems I have been experiencing (It's probably because they outsource to techs from india who don't speak English as their first language so the links and pages and logic are crap.)


And on top of it... what a bunch of crooks. Raising rates for no justifiable reason. And backed by our lawmakers too (another bunch of crooks). Plus they will never pay for the Dan River cleanup as they will pass 100% of the costs of that onto US to pay. Don't believe otherwise.

If I ever get the chance to go solar, you bet I will jump on it. Now i remember why I quit working for Duke Energy. Run by a bunch of morons and greedy ****.
