They could use a third party collection agency. It is possible he talked to them today.
But they aren't harassing you....they are attempting to collect a debt. But they should understand that they have the wrong number. I had a few calls when I switched cell phone numbers a year ago for some lady. After 2 times they stopped.

Tell them if they call again, they will be sued for harassment and that your phone records will show how many calls they have made to you. Ask to speak to the manager, he seems like a nice guy to me. Also, I have received no notice from them of any fake calls being made.

We shouldn't have to do that. Today I read them section 806 (5) of title 15 USC. in the fair debt collection act that makes it against the law to harass a person by (5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.
It is a 1000 dollar fine plus court cost and lawyer fees for every time they do it. I told them that if it doesn't stop I will seek a lawyer and sue them.

Its not a con they are calling a number they have linked to an account even after they have been informed they have the wrong number.

Anyone else have a problem with harassing phone calls from these Jerks about a bill that you don't owe. They call my sons phone everyday even after we have called several times to inform them they have the wrong number. Neither the wife and I or our minor son has ever had an account with them or even lived in their service area.
