If those there don't know...what information are they supposed to give to the public, other than stay inside in the safety of your own home and make sure your doors are locked!

Actually, nwnc, it's a matter of public safety. People aren't asking for names, I'm thinking people just want to know if the guy is running loose around town or if he's been apprehended, or what the deal is. I know I do. That's not being nosy...

Parts of Bethe Road is in Wilkes county with a Jonesville address. Helicopters flying in area now.

I would think it is very difficult for leo's/news people/fire and rescue, to be clear in the midst of an active shooting/fire scene....
