okay, I got it. Dawn is one of his ex's. But she always defended him, even after he threatened to burn Dawn's mothers house down, and destroyed much of her personal stuff. So, see, the whole bunch is a little wacky.
As far as guns, probably most were stolen from what victims say, including Dawn's uncle.
