The best part was the fruit. When a girl said, “no, no, I’m not drinking tonight”, all you had to do was say, “ok, want some watermelon then ?” LOL

It was made with everclear, which is 190proof, and higher alcohol content than any moonshine I’ve ever found.

The only thing I know about shine is that I can not handle it. Apple pie, berry mix, pineapple, it does not matter......I am on my ***.

When I was in high school we used to make bullfrogs, high-test shine and wylers lemonade mix.

Glad to hear that wasn't at me Marie . I thought why you climbing on my back for commenting . I got and agree with what fins was saying . The lemonade I had was nowhere close to 90 , in fact I would be afraid it would freeze if put in freezer .

The place where I grew up has the remnants of old shine stills. You can walk back in the hills and find coke, the metal bindings that once held wooden barrels together and a big ole tree with many initials carved in it.
I’ve heard stories all my life about those times.

Cajah:: Moonshine was about 1/3 or more of my families raising - income. We planted tobacco,corn, plowed by hand with a Mule pulling + raised 2 -3 hogs a year & a huge garden just too survive. I know a little about what i'm talking about.... Thanks...
