Their children have no first amendment rights? Do you only shop at stores that keep quiet on issues that are controversial?

I dont care if they have been there 50 years or more. You start pissing off customers and allowing children to go to town meetings and express personal feelings they wont make it a day longer.

They've been there a while now. They will likely outlast the *****ing in GY.

The owners son did make a fool of himself at a town meeting over the alcohol vote in Yadkin.

If you are the owner of a business in a small town you keep your opinions about liquor, religion, and politics to yourself or your career will be so short you want even feel the door hit you when you are out of business.

It seems like Alwaysgone blames the hardware store because Alwaygone is clueless in Seattle as to what he needs to do a job. I bet that Clueless could not explain in a reasonable manner what he/she needed.

I had been doing plumbing work for over 50 years and it is not unusual to have to make multiple trips to the local hardware store when working on a project, because thing are often done by trial and error.

Have frequented the Jonesville Hardware Store for years without a bad experience at all.

You are only one side of the story. Lets hear their side.

When you operate a business in a small town this day and time you have to be extra nice at all times to each and every customer. It only takes one or two to ruin your business. You eat the turds and vomit them out later.

I will NEVER do business with those people again ! They lied to me about something I bought from them and I ask 3 times before paying if it was the right item that I needed . When I called them back about it , they were total *** holes about it . No they are not Lowes because a lowes employee wouldn't talk to me like they did , so mommotwo if you think they are such great people you really don't know them as well as you think you do . BTW I know lots of others that know them very well also and they don't have such great things to say about them . I could care less if they were shut down tomorrow for the way they have treated some of their customers .

Now explain what makes a christian family.

That's what leads me to believe that the OP may have a common misunderstanding about Christianity. It's not inherited. It's an individual thing.

momoftwo, good post.
I always said, going into a church does not make one anymore a Christian than one going into an auto repair shop makes them a mechanic. Also, it is what is in the heart, not in words.I have never had a problem with that business. Perhaps "mm" did have a problem,,I do not know.

I have a reason for asking, lol. I'm not just being nosey. It's just that people have this preconceived notion of what a Christian is supposed to be- how they are supposed to act, look, talk, etc. Sometimes they are right....sometimes not. You know the old saying "it takes one to know one", well I think there's a little truth to that. Not that there's a secret handshake or anything. It's just that a Christian is supposed to be forgiving enough to understand that no one is perfect - even other Christians. Sure, there is a higher standard and should be. Perhaps, you have a misunderstanding on what a Christian is. Elaborate and maybe we can help.

I know these people well and have never had a problem. Just because someone is a Christian does not mean that 1) they are perfect, 2) that you are always going to like what they say or do.

MM133233- are you a Christian?

This must be another one of those idiots that comes on here and starts something and never returns.

That leads me to wonder if they went to return something thinking this store has a return policy like lowes. I have for years wondered when lowes would say enough. People get a lawn mower keep it a month or two and return it. Just long enough to mow the yard up. Same with a chain saw. or a washing machine.

What's the deal? They are a business, not a church.

Somebody got their feelings hurt and now want to hurt a business.

I've never had a problem there.

Then they must be yankees.

Now explain what makes a christian family.

I'm confused about the people running the hardware store on Hwy 67 in Jonesville. Heard they were supposed to be a Christian family runnin that business. Their actions and talk don't match. Anyone know the deal?
