The CM can't stand Ball as bad as he did Cain. If Ball gets elected it will be a house divided.

The only thing I saw for Eric Ball is where he has his name up on a banner at the YMCA indoor track for donating money in 2013. I am betting if he doesn't win there will be no banner for 2014.

I've seen no Talley signs, either. And I've seen no Willard signs.

That's the same sign I saw. I agree something needs to indicate the incumbent, but I don't know if re-elect would be appropriate? Maybe just " Elect Sheriff Oliver ?? " That would indicate he is the current Sheriff I think, appointed or not?
I like the red, white & blue colors of Balls signs, but the print is so small, if you didn't know what they said, you'd have no clue what they were driving by at 55 mph. They could be advertising aluminum siding for all most people would know?
Talley, no opinion because I haven't seen one?
But, I'm not on anyone's campaign staff, I'm just thinking out loud.

The wife and I discussed that Oliver sign yesterday when we saw it. It was a hand painted one if we are talking about the same one. I would have put "re-elect Oliver sheriff. I know he was never elected but it conveys the fact that he is the incumbent and that w

Mike Cain was charged with felonies, but pled to misdemeanors if I recall correctly? I think he should have been forced to take one felony charge out of the dozen of them. If I was running for Sheriff, I don't think I would want or need a former Sheriff who was kicked out of office supporting me? If so, I sure wouldn't want anyone to know it?
Oh, and I saw the first Oliver for Sheriff sign today on Hwy 601 in Boonville. I've seen a few Ball signs on Center Road, Hwy 21, and scattered around in Jonesville. I haven't seen any Talley signs yet?

Hege was not the only felon that ran that year. Wilkes county had one too.

I would say yes, Cain and Hege were two peas in the same piece of trash criminal pod that they both liked to wallow in. I had no use for either. So far my vote is still for Oliver.

I GUESS THE QUESTION IS. WHY WOULD YOU WANT A CONVICTED FELON SPEAKING FOR YOU. DOES THIS MEAN THAT THEY ARE THE SAME PEAS IN A POD?

Fly. Better than Davidson county. They had a convicted felon ex sherif running a few years back. They had to change state laws because of that criminal Hege.

Yep, Cain was charged and ousted out. And, from all accounts, now supporting Ball. I'll stick with Sheriff Oliver.

I don't think Cain is in this election? He is a criminal, and was removed from office. He made history in Yadkin County, but not for reasons anyone would be proud of.

I have never been on this forum until today and after what I heard this morning at the restaurant I will have to say I just became Eric Ball supporter. For a former sheriff to be telling people that the only votes Eric would get would be the redneck Cain votes is very wrong. So I say this best I can tell is that Cain never lost an election and if all his voters are rednecks then Oliver is in trouble because the Cain redneck vote bet fat Jack and Ricky in both elections. Ricky I know you read this and if you want to lose that's fine and you will as long as Jack is running his mouth for you.

I heard instead of a debate they are going to have a spelling bee using 7th grade words. If the candidates can spell 2 words correctly they move onto the debate. If this is true Sheriff Oliver may be the only one debating. Is this true or false?
