the north boys will benefit from the yellowjackets this year. Unfortunately Central will gain the most from them, most of their talent in the 5-6 will go to central, however the 7-8 YJ team has a good bit of north players for the future. Time will tell.

I have doubts about such a vast conspiracy. People come to West for several reasons and baseball just happens to be one of them. Make your program more attractive and you want have to worry.

Before long no MVAC school will be able to hold up to West. They have and will continue to suck the talent out of each district. They get promised spots over the West kids but its an elusion. The transfers are not better than the West kids BUT are the best ones at the other school, so by promising them a spot and then removing them from that schools district almost ensures that districts demise. It has all been laid out and designed. All other schools loose and those that are real residents in the West district loose. I would rather be on the loosing end and have my districts loyal residents kids play then to stoop to this cowardly traitor act. It is not giving your kid a better opportunity, its for the parents cause its a pre promised spot. They don't have to worry about trying to compete with their own schools athletes and coaches

I have heard of a few kids moving to other schools and using a family members address just to play sports. Funny that their sibling may go to another school district where the home is.. It is not rocket science to figure this one out. Let's admit this if you had the chance to better your child or to give them a better chance you would too. I think on the other hand think a lot of people do this for the wrong reasons..for example: To get your athlete away from a team that don't meet the parents and or childs standard because they are a much better athlete than their peers. I understand wanting what is best for a child, but follow the rules and set an example parents.

Not from around here but what is the big deal about West? No one cares for daddy ball but the kids playing for their daddy or their friends. From what I see so far in this town is Wilkes Central is the prep school of the county which leads me to think whoever said it before that students from West would be employees of someone else I guess Central will be the employer. Lets face it not very many make it in ball from here anyway. Why move or transfer or try to slip in on a fake address? Just shows how people's minds work. Maybe whoever was being talked about before won't be quality for West ball and will be a bench warmer. Who knows I guess.

Ok so we know the East Middle School coaches kid, the pitcher, is defecting to West or trying to use another address to slip the system from what is being told so who else is defecting from ye ole stomping grounds? I just gots to know. I like what was said before lets close all high schools down but one and have a giant school. Lets just bus them all into Millers Creek. The AD would be blowing a gasket with all the new talent coming in.

NO thanks!!! that side of town cant handle my ego, plus it is way to crowded. Also, I don't want my kids to go to school with their future employees....maybe my kids will feel bad for these spoiled daddyballers and give them a job when they turn 30, or move out of their parents basement.

I have a great idea people. Lets shut down, East High, Central, North and turn West into one of those 8A mega schools like in California. Then we can make state runs. Of course we wouldn't get to play anyone cause we would be the only 8A around but hey that way everyone gets a piece of that BlackHawk pie.
