Whats so funny is were in conference play now and teams like Alleghany and Elkin are averaging 30 plus pts a game on Wilkes Central. So, did your so called strength of schedule help your lack luster defense?

My home is safe because all of them are weak. No one said EW had a tough non conference schedule. Someone mention WC strength of schedule, and its just as weak considering the size of their school. So there you have it.

The reason Ashe sucks is because of the defense.Everyone in Ashe County knows that offense is the only thing that matters. Defense isn't a priority, it's not coached to be the priority, it's not treated as a priority. We just use our offense as a defense, basically the thought is we will outscore everyone. Will it hasn't worked out so well this season. This team/family is a joke, the players know it, the parents know it and the coaches continue to try to hide it by throwing around phrases like "I love you" in a meaningless manner. In an attempt to make the kids feel "important" or feel like the coach actually does "love" them all. As I sat in the stands Friday night and froze to death watching our "high powered" offense run basically 3-4 plays I was sick thinking that this was the best plays we can come up with in a week of practice. Its no wonder we lose, we have become one dimensional. QB up the middle, QB to the right, QB to the left, INT. It was an obvious attempt to boost the stats of the QB in lieu of actually trying to win the game. Contrary to beliefs of the coaching staff there are other athletes on the field who are capable of making plays. As evidence by having the middle linebacker come in as RB and gaining decent yds on all of his carries. I never had much respect for this group of coaches but what I had is now gone as they are obviously willing to sacrifice winning for boosting the stats of the QB in attempt to have him win an individual award.....I guess there is an I in team!!

This football program is on a downward spiral that will continue for the foreseeable future. There is a new bottom feeder of the MVAC and it's Ashe County!

Patton vs Forbush
W. Iredell vs S. Stokes
North Iredell vs North Stokes

Garret deserves it too. Teams stack the box on him and he still has 40 rushes and 300 yds in a game. Teams know what North is gonna do, yet can't stop him.

Naw. That will go to North Wilkes Garret Grimes. He is already over 2000 yds rushing.

We have been out played and out coached all year! But we will have the conference Player of the Year though.

How come no one is talking about Ashe County?

No disrespect to WC, but North Iredell and West Iredell kill any chance of a tough non conference schedule. They are bottom feeders in their respective classification yearly. North will not make the playoffs. Bot sure if they have even won a game yet. West may make the playoffs, they will get destroyed 1st round if they do.

I find it funny how Central wants to talk about how hard their non-conference schedule is but they can barely hold their own against some of the worst teams in the conference. For example, they allowed Starmount to put up 18 points and then Elkin put up 27 then barely beat Alleghany by 1 point lol

Yet another clown comes forward. First of all this whole post is about MVAC and if I commented about middle school it would've been on a middle school post. wilkes central, central wilkes ? my error, so sorry your mind couldn't comprehend. When dubc is painted it is pretty obvious who did it . As for accusing usa , I said PROBABLY a parent, and never said anything about children doing this - Teenagers who should have enough understanding to realize that to do that is wrong. After seeing and hearing some of the things the student section has done at games though I shouldn't be surprised. Never claimed to be a football genius, it should be a good game between these two teams. Going to be hard for cw to stop EW from scoring with that defense but EW should be able to keep cw from scoring as much. No shut out by any means.

Your posts seem to demonstrate quite the contrary. In the last two posts you've not only accused middle schoolers of vandalism (Central Wilkes is a middle school, FYI), but you've also made a public accusation as to who did it. People know each other on here. By accusing USA of being one of the parents, you are accusing children as well. Be upset about the graffiti. You should be. But why not baffle us with your football brilliance and insight rather than making accusations in a public forum. I'm curious to hear how you think the game will play out. Either team stop the other?

Relax man. You are talking about teenagers here. You've been posting here for quite sometime which indicates you are much older than these teenagers you are talking about. I'm sure you were quite the little princess when you were in high school. I know I wasn't and that was many years ago. Hopefully the KIDS responsible will be identified and punished properly. Calling them "trash" is a little much though.

Once again central wilkes proves what a class act they are by painting graffiti on East Wilkes field. Nice job trash!

Good luck EW let's head up to Moravian Falls on Friday 10/28 and make it (2) in a row over those Eagles. It's a classic styles makes fights match up. Should be a great game as each team will try impose their will and strengths against each other. Good luck and hopes of an injury free game for each team.

I watched Patton. They will be one and done in the 3a playoffs, much like they are every year. Its funny you guys beat them last year...now this year Patton is world beaters...get outta here. I saw their qb score like 8 tds on Central. I saw Patton's defense was as bad as Central's too. No props for giving up 80 pts to a team that will exit in the 1st rd of the playoffs in their respective division.

Lol. No one in the county wouldve gave up nearly 80 pts to them other than WC. Getting beat is ok. WC nonconference schedule is pretty soft as well...i mean n. Iredell...and W. Iredell are real jaggernauts....lol...get real.

Isn't Patton a big 3A school? Saying they would have dismantled a 1A team is pretty much stating the obvious.
