You can't shove it. You have to just live it and let the chips fall where they may....

Mommy you mostly get it.
Fiesta you have a ways to go before you get it.
Some of you carry your religion around on your shoulders and try and shove it off on others like you have had it shoved down your throats each sunday -sunday. No one is the same. There are those that could care less what you believe and dont care to hear it either be it religion or politics.

Well if you really think you are a leader and have respect of people then well...I hope that serves you well.
I gave you three examples that we all know of that started as small Christian owned businesses that grew into household names while being very open about the owners/founders/majority shareholders faith. There are plenty of others. I have actually been inside buildings of thousands of businesses in NC, SC, and VA. It is very common to see Bible verses on walls or tracts in the lobbies. It is a simple fact. Many of the employers in this part of the country are not at all ashamed of their Christian beliefs nor do they feel the need to hide their beliefs from the irrational few anti-Christians out there.
A leader has convictions and lays them out for others to see. They inspire others, get followers, and become leaders. A real leader always displays his convictions and thereby earns respect of others. This is a simple fact that is not subject to debate. It is as clear and obvious as 2 plus 2 equally 4.

Underdog, this is a local hardware store that carries just about anything you can think of. Very convenient and they have always been very successful. It doesn't sound like this business is going around "advertising" their beliefs. It sounds to me like the OP is trying to use their beliefs against them. No one is going to be perfect and there's no way to please the public 100% of the time because there's always that one in the crowd that can't be pleased.

I dont have to wear my beliefs nor do I have to advertise my beliefs. I have already earned respect. Those that think they must advertise their beliefs are insecure and petty. They will never amount to anything and always have to be followers and never leaders. I am a leader.

Hate to break it to you sweetheart but plenty of small businesses do just fine with their values on display. Since you aren't around here any names mentioned wouldn't likely have any meaning so I pointed out some that started small and displayed their values while growing into household names. The jonesville alcohol thing was a while back and the hardware store I guess is doing fine. Plenty of restaurants around here that post Bible verses on their walls and no one minds. Heck Keaton's BBQ in Cleveland has been on the Travel Channel show "Road Eats" (or something like that) and was ranked 12th best restaurant in NC by the Charlotte Observer and they will kick you out for cussing.
Just because some people have an irrational hatred for Christianity, they are not the norm. I have no problem displaying my values and my business is growing just fine. I find most people are more comfortable doing business with Christians.

It only proves that you did not look at other facets of your premise. You are guilty of limited imagination.

Actually many successful businesses actively express the Christian values of the the owners/majority shareholders. Cookout, Chic-fil-a, and Hobby Lobby come to mind quickly. Many businesses express nonChristian values of their owners/majority shareholders like Birkshire Hathaway.
Expressing your values does not mean the end or the success of your business. Not in small towns or on a national scale.

That is true. However, running a business does not mean that the owner must give up basic rights such as freedom of speech. Now, if some customers are offended and go elsewhere, that is just part of the game. I am sure that many businesses choose never to get involved in anything controversial so as to keep the largest customer base. That is fine. My guess is that the hardware store in question has chosen to live by conservative principles and to speak out when they feel that these principles are threatened. Most of their customers don't go there to hear or not to hear their opinions, but to buy hardware. I imagine they sell a lot of nails and bug spray and whatever else to many people whose values are quite different than their own. I haven't seen a sign in the window saying that they will only sell to like minded customers. I really doubt they will miss your business or mine for that matter.

Sparky, you obviously have no idea of what it takes to own a business and run a business. Go sit under your bed and strike matches.
