Until law enforcement releases the sight, part of Walmart is still legally a crime scene.
There could also be a fire investigation to determine how the fire spread, what materials aided the fire, etc. in order to aid in fighting future fires.

I want an excise tax on all cigarette lighters. All Walmarks must be protected an it will cost millions.

$3 million in damages, wow. It's a shame they can't make him pay for that damage.
And what is a 15 year old doing in Walmart after 10:30 at night? I would think a 10pm curfew is being more than generous to a 15 year old. He won't find anything to do but get in trouble after 10pm

Elkin Tribune (a wholly owned subsidiary of That Little Paper):
Walmart in Elkin remained closed Thursday afternoon with no reopening day announced following a fire late Tuesday night that caused the building to fill with smoke.
Although no official cause had been determined, in an official statement from Walmart Wednesday, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications Charles Crowson said, “Our store will remain closed until further notice due to a small fire that was intentionally set. No one was hurt, and we’re working with law enforcement to find those responsible. We appreciate our customers’ understanding during this time.”
“There was a fire and the employees put it out, “ said Lt. John Kuhlman of the Elkin Fire Department Wednesday morning. “The (Surry County) Fire Marshal’s Office and the SBI are investigating.”
