When is Buck Shoals going to lower The ISO rating like Arlington did

Oogie I believe you need to learn some more before you type you are correct your savings in East Brnd was only 8 dollars that’s because the went from a 5 to a 3 which has little change in residential but I must say 8 dollars parable covers your fire tax . As I said before my numbers where base off a 9 to a 5 and from a 9 to a 3 because of my commercial business it would be more . As for the volunteer part I’m just asking them to do what they agreed to VOL for it didn’t seem to be bothering Arlington and East Bend to much .And congratulations on your savings you should figure up how much you have saved over the last 20 years and post that and possibly go fix lunch for the volunteers at East Bend I’m sure you would still be ahead of what you have paid in vs what you saved better yet maybe me and you could do some trading your place for mine.

Received today my revised premium for the new Eat Bend fire department rating. My premium reduced by $8.00 for a year. Welcome news but nothing approaching the numbers posted earlier by another person.

Much of the work is done by volunteers. Have you offered to help-- to work unpaid- at all hours of the day? Are you going to order the volunteers to do whatever it takes? What would you do if folks start ordering you around? I have been a volunteer fireman-- had folks cuss at me because we did not get there faster.
If your insurance could be lowered that much, you must have a really valuable property.

According to my insurance agent to be a 9 You only have to have like one truck. The depts do need goals and it should be to save tax payers money . From what I understand most Departments in this county could ba at least a 6 or 7 which would be a great savings .

The departments have to meet established goals created by the State. Not ever department is capable of meeting those expectations, your home may be to far from the department to have the best rate. Learn what your department needs to do to improve for fire protection rate and then start pushing for that to happen.

Why is Buck Shoals not lowering its ISO rating I had my insurance checked on my building and house it 937.00 cheaper if I was just up the road in Arlington. And to top it off the insurance man showed me if it was in East Bend it was 1314 .00 cheaper . This is absolutely crazy that these 2 depts have done this for there whole district and other have not and most have done nothing. The citizens should raise the roof until the fire dept start spending money to help the tax payer instead of looking good. This blows me away and I Hera it could have been done 20 year ago .
