The flag doesn’t give anything. Rights are granted from God or nature, whichever you believe in. The constitution protects those rights.

Just to clear the air I am not screaming like a made man and fuming out the mouth, I am just having a conversation. Please don't think I am trying to bash you.

Rights are granted from God or nature, whichever you believe in. The constitution protects those rights.

Just for clarification.

True you do have the things that God gave you. He, they, she which ever you prefer also gave most people a brain.

The constitution protects those rights, ok where does the constitution come from ? The United States. What is our symbol ? The flag. So if you don't believe in what it stands for ( the flag= constitution ) how can one say they have a right not to stand.

But all in all, its kinda like its against the law to kill yourself.

On the other hand if someone is giving you something that you need, do you say thank you, or do you spit in there face.

Just like those same rights grant me the right to burn a flag if I wish.

Posted 1:27 pm, 05/25/2019

And yeah, I still have those rights.

Try that last part again

The flag ( the red white and blue thing ) that stands for there freedom.

You have a right not to stand.

But if you don't stand for that flag that gives you that right (not to stand) . Do you still have rights ?

When leftists engage in civil disobedience other leftists cheer and applaud their pure motivations.

When decent Americans engage in civil disobedience, the leftists whine line the bches they are.

The irony in patriots getting mad over someone kneeling in protest is they don’t comprehend the reasons this nation was founded.

I get it, they are free to do what ever they want. I am glad they have that right. But that flag ( STANDS ) for that right.

So the very people don't believe in what they think they have a right to do.

I have made this statement before.

If you don't like the American Flag and want to sit or kneel during the National Anthem, you can find you a stick and go roll camel turds in the sand. See how fun that would be.

Why does anyone need a permit to fly the American flag???
Statesville needs to pound sand.
They don't and that's why the town of Boone lost in their case against Hill Green.

$50 a day is a really cheap national advertising campaign for two companies the size of camping world and gander mountain stores.

This is the second time recently that I thought Affy was the unlikely voice of reason. Who is changing, him or me?

Either way, he's definitely right.

In 2015, Camping World applied for a permit to fly a flag that was 40' x 80'. At the time, the maximum legal size was 8' x 12', and the permit was denied.

Then last June, Camping World requested a permit for a flag that was 25' x 40' (1000 square feet). The permit was granted.

Then in August, instead of the approved flag, they installed one that was 40' x 80' (3200 square feet). That's bigger than most people's house! And if it came loose, imagine the damage it could do!

The proper channel would have been for Camping World to challenge the ordinance and permit denial in court, and leave it to a judge on whether they had the right to deny it. The path they chose, though, was to violate the law, and then try to get everyone riled up behind them when the city was forced to enforce the law.

It’s funny watching some folks pick and choose which laws they want to follow.

I sure wish I could find the story about Hills giant flag and the town of Boone.
