Someone sent me a pm about this house and I accidently deleted it before I responded.

Send me another one..

By the way, I found out who once owned the house in question....pm me and I will tell you... I think they used that house on Halloween for a few years and maybe that is why everyone thinks it is haunted... ( I never myself said it was haunted). But I will drive slowly the next time I pass that way just in case... I just love stories about old houses, etc. and I don't think God will hold me accountable for reading a book about Ghosts and their Haunts, since my sins are under the blood of Jesus Christ.

Riverbend, now that you mention it there hasn't been a mention of believing in ghosts, just a curiosity about local legend and folklore. My description of Good Christian was merely in response to WisdomVsKnowledge's post. This is off topic, but you shouldn't have to attach any tag to the term Christian. According to our faith all of us are bad which is why we needed Jesus to save us. But save the atheist and agnostic debate about what is good, what is truth, etc for another thread. We talking haints here.

Oh, but you know,,, the movie "Ghost" was one of my all time favorite movies....Just sayin'

I don't recall anyone saying they believed in ghost...

but why is it that "good christian folks" are the first ones to point fingers, criticize and judge? The word "christian" is starting to become a bad word for the ones who are just "good people"

Point taken Wisdom, but if you really want to split hairs, good Christians shouldn't waste their time on blog sites when they could be telling others about Jesus. Just saying.

Good Christian folks aren't suppose to believe in spooks... Paul wrote, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."... and what about the rich man and Lazarus? "The rich man died and opened his eyes being in ****."

Is Frances Casstevens the author who wrote the book about local murders such as the unsolved murder at the Hunt house? If so I would really like to get that book.

I am more interested in who once owned the home than the ghosts that supposedly take up residence there. I did stop and get a picture of the old house yesterday...I know everyone that lives around that house, Guess I will make a trip to the register of deeds office when I get a chance.... I have a copy of Frances Casstevens book, Ghosts and Their Haunts,I have been unable to find any mention of this house in the book.

The reason the house in Boonville hasn't been sold has nothing to do with ghosts. The house is on the verge of collapsing. It would take a lot more to repair than it is worth.

that's very interesting! I would love to know some of the stories too! Does anyone know "ghost rumors" about the house beside of Galaxy Grocery Store in Boonville. I hear that's the reason why it hasn't sold and the price had been reduced so much!
