Given the size and age, you're likely to end up paying someone to haul it off. Drop the price to $1500 as is to get rid of it

I'm really disappointed, at first it really looked like a minor repair! Caulk and tape, good to go.

But someone came to look at it on Saturday and noticed that the roof was a little sunken in. I know that there are some little trusses along the roof, so I was hoping it might be a simple issue of replacing those trusses and the insulation.

If the damage is more than that, though? I just don't know if the sell price will justify the cost of repairs.

But thanks for all of the advice and suggestions! I'm going to call the places suggested tomorrow (Monday) and get a few quotes.

It needs the roof replaced. Ham us on 421 does repairs. But, used campers needing repairs don't sell.

Reading what you have said and the link it's very likely there is significant damage. Not that it makes it unable to be fixed but a fairly big deal. The roof can likely be addressed with eturnabond tape and good caulking but this is a patch not a fix. There's several videos online advising how to use this. Sorry for the bad news but maybe you won't find major damage.

This is Melissa's mom's camper, a Fleetwood Wilderness M-721G:

They only used it just a few times before her dad got colon cancer, so it's been parked and covered with a tarp for about 3 years.

When they bought it the roof had a leak at the horizontal seam near the roof window. Her dad patched it with some sort of roofing tape, but as it has been parked water would sit on the roof and caused it to sink in more. So now that seam has separated further. It's still usable as-is, but does need repair.

Since we're trying to sell it for her, I really need to know how extensive the damage really is, and what it would realistically cost to fix.

Without some experience, I have no idea whether this is a minor cosmetic issue that could be fixed in a few hours with a truss and tape, or if there's structural damage that's more serious. I'm hesitant to patch it myself, sell it, and then they find out that there's structural damage that's going to cost a lot more to have fixed! I want to be totally fair and open about it for the buyer, but also want to make sure that she gets a fair value for it; money that she really needs for retirement.

Can you all recommend someone in Wilkes or the surrounding counties that handles RV / Camper repair? I'm working with a travel trailer that needs some roof repair.
