Everyone please let your friends and family know about a jury scam going on in Yadkin County.

The caller identifies themselves as a member of the Sheriff's Department and informs the victim that they have missed jury duty and there is a warrant for their arrest.

Per the victims the scammer is very convincing and knows a lot about Yadkin County. The scammer then directs you to obtain a money gram (in which you give them the numbers) and mail your receipt to the Yadkin Clerk of Court's office. Victims so far are out hundreds of dollars.

If anyone receives one of these call please contact the Yadkin Sheriff's Department or my office at 336 679 3600. Please know that a warrant for arrest is not issued for missing jury duty.
