This recipe came from my sis-in-law who makes it for our Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers. There's never enough left for her to take home. ENJOY, (we certainly do)!


1 cup Crisco
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
2 3/4 cups sugar
3 cups plain flour, sifted
5 eggs
1 cup Orange Crush
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp orange flavoring

Icing:
1/2 stick butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp orange flavoring
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 oz cream cheese, softened

Preheat oven to 325.
Cream shortening, butter, and sugar.
Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add Orange Crush alternately with flour.
Bake 1 hour 10 minutes, or until tests done.
Cool completely before icing.

Icing:
Mix all ingredients together well and frost cake.
