Edge, you are correct. The words, "get rid of" when it is about animals just is so sad.
And yes, Sterilizing is the only way to stop the over population. Shelters, Rescues, etc do what they can, but nothing is done to the irresponsible, and so goes the vicious circle.

at least she is not dumping them alongside the road - which is what many people do

at least she is asking for some payment which discourages (but does not prevent) people from getting them just to torture, multilate, or use as meat in a dog-fighting ring

at least she is not dumping them off at a shelter some or all might end up gassed to death or have a needle inserted into their heart until they die.

so it's a good thing she posted like that. it helped boost their odds of survival.

she should also put up an ad inside the 3 vet clinics around yadkinville.

but if she would have spent a little bit of money to neuter or spay just ONE of the parents there would not be 6 or 7 innocent souls facing an unknown, scary future that may include loneliness, anxiety, hunger, fear or early death. there is a clinic in kernersville that does it for a very low fee, and i think the yadkinville pound has vouchers for almost free spay/neuter.
