Probably would, empowers. How someone treats an animal is usually a good indication of their character.

When anyone mistreats an animal I always wonder if they would also mistreat an innocent child.

Dog.. What you said does make sense. I was off topic about the border but I was putting petty YC problems in perspective for people. Do I think law enforcement does need an oversight? YES! But how? Who? Elected officials?? HA HA. That will never work.

Talk...You do live in a bubble. I have lived here all my life. I have also traveled the world. Its not assuming! Its reality! Just ride around and look! Why are these people who starve the horses allowed to go free with a fine? I'll bet with an "eye for an eye" approach on this you wouldn't see any starving animals! But sadly it will never happen. Same old YC BS "If you don't like it move"??? LOL!

4545, You are hilarious. You are one of 'them people' (as you say) that say starving of animals has been and always will be in yadkin county, so just accept it. That is the craziest thing I have ever heard.
Kind of like the over-used comment of "if you don't like it here, move."
There are laws against this, silly. Those laws should be enforced. AND, punish the offenders. This crap of "'pay court costs and be good now'" ain't working.
BTW, there is no 'bubble' here...stop assuming. I was blessed to live a lot of places, and see a lot of things, and meet a lot of different people in this country, and a few oversees.
The border? Another topic.
underdog 2 is absolutely correct.

Listen up go colt 45, we have laws in place because society will not police themselves. We have barneys and animal control in place charged to do a job because society will not follow the laws. Now it seems we need a new group to make sure they do their jobs.

Start at home and then go to the border and beyond. Thats whats wrong with this country now is we are more worried about everyone else but our own.

You people.. You know who I am directing this to. Are completely loosing your mind! Why? Some white trash person or persons starved a horse to death? All the while on our border some very bad and heartbreaking things are happening! Please do not live in your bubble forever "Yadkin County". !! This s*** has and always will happen around here. Whether you like it or not! Its not the cops, government, neighbor, cousin, brother, or etc..., fault that this happened. Its the sorry piece OF TRASH that STARVED the horse!!! Blame THE ONES RESPONSIBLE!!!! Stop trying to find a scapegoat or read to deep in to a STUPID situation!

riff-raff, Who cares what you eat? This thread is about animals starved to death by subhumans. Start another thread if you want to write 5,000 words about worship of animals.

animal worship, veneration of an animal, usually because of its connection with a particular deity. The term was used by Western religionists in a pejorative manner and by ancient Greek and Roman polemicists against theriomorphic religions—those religions whose gods are represented in animal form. Most examples given for animal worship, however, are not instances of worship of an animal itself. Instead, the sacred power of a deity was believed to be manifested in an appropriate animal that was regarded as a representation, epiphany, or incarnation of the deity.

Animal symbolism in religious iconography and allegory has been used in associating certain qualities with certain animal species. This phenomenon is evident in many religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and the religions of the classical Greeks and Romans. For instance, the Greeks associated wisdom with the owl and believed that Athena, the goddess of wisdom, had a particular affiliation with birds; hence, she is frequently represented with an owl. A similar association occurs between Jesus Christ and the lamb in Christian traditions. This associative factor does not imply, as polemicists have strongly suggested, an earlier stage of development in which an animal itself was worshipped and then later rationalized into an anthropomorphic figure or abstract quality.

The universal practice among hunting and gathering peoples of respect for and ceremonial behaviour toward animals stems from the religious customs attendant on the conducting of the hunt and not from worship of the animal itself. Another phenomenon that has been confused with animal worship is totemism, in which animal or plant categories are part of a social classificatory system that does not imply worship of the animal. In contemporary scholarship, the term animal worship seldom occurs, because it has been rejected as a misleading interpretive category.

And aside from that, horse meat makes the best hamburgers! It's very lean and healthy! I'm ordering the California chrome Carolina style!

Walks the riff raff barney is ashamed they got caught again being lazy and not doing their jobs. They had rather hang around the towns and intimidate people.

riff, The sheriff's dept was called a year ago about these horses, and did not go out. I am not going to put on this site WHO all called. A horse died at that time. I don't have to prove anything to you. And I am NOT going to name names who made confidential calls. Geez. Get over yourself.

And here you are 'speaking' for 'everyone' by posting to underdog2:
"You are boring to everyone on here".
Liar. Do not speak for me. I am not bored by underdog, but -you- on the other hand, YES.

I love hot teachers. Especially the ones that are not very satisfied at home and seek the dogs help. They are married and want to keep things very secret. I could go for a hot female cop also. Shoot that excites me just thinking about it.

I dont like hose jockeys either. Teachers I like I just dont like their constant whining about their pay and you already know why. But we can publish the list again if the situation warrants.

Look at the barney trying to lie and make excuses again. I see you making the comment about pay. You dont do it for pay, never have, never will. You do it for the power trip it gives you when you put on that badge and gun.

Where is the lie in my statement? I've never claimed to be a barney, you assume I'm a barney. ANYONE who disagrees with the "pup" is a barney.
I don't work in law enforcement. I know you worked as a barney dog, but couldn't do the job. You must have been one of those mall cops that arrested little ole ladies in the panty and bra section. That was too tough for you, so you sit around and bash cops for doing their job and gripe when they don't. Basically you are a "know it all" loud mouth that has to bully everyone on any topic, hoping to keep thus pathetic site alive for Carlton. Your probably on Carlton's payroll or you just may be Carlton himself. Who cares. It's all the same. You are boring to everyone on here.

You said "The sheriff's dept was called a year ago on these horses. NOTHING was done and one died from starvation at THAT time. Ever seen a horse down..bag of bones..and witnessed it trying to get up?"

However the article you posted said they received the complaint in MAY.
I don't understand your comment? There is no documentation of the officers receiving a call out there a year ago. Therefore your comment is false.

My point is you are criticizing the officers for doing their jobs.
You critique them however you don't know. The only thing you prove is they done everything they could do to protect the horses to the best of their ability. (And they are working for not much more than minimum wage also).

You complain about law enforcement when they DO their jobs, and criticize them when they don't.
Talk about walking in someone's shoes.

So where is your proof that he officers responded out to the same location a year ago and nothing was done.

You want public hangings for people who starve horses and reprimands for officers who investigate violent crimes that hurt people.

All you have done is show your lack of knowledge. If an investigation was done and people where arrested, apparently the officers done their jobs.

(Arch nemeses of underdog is Riff Raff) Carlton's website cut off the response
