Fred Bauer has my vote. Regina Gillespie is definitely a dingbat. I'm surprised she passed the bar, she must have had her husband take it for her. Too bad Houston isn't in the running on this election, maybe we could get rid of her, once and for all.

Crumpton talks out both sides of his mouth to anyone he thinks will get him where he wants to go. If that's what you want, another worshipper at the good ole boys club, then so be it. I will be casting my vote for someone less beholden to political and deep pocket influence.

I had the opportunity to meet Robert Crumpton and was impressed by him, I found out he used to also be in the prosecuting attys office. He's got my vote

I agree that Robert crumpton is by far the best choice from all the ones running. Has worked in the district attorneys office before and has private practice experience also.

There are a couple of good candidates for judge. And Regina Gillespie and Robert Crumpton are not it. Crumpton, when I met him seemed like a "politician". Not personal at all. Not in touch with the "regular people" who would depend on him.
Regina Gillespie is a dingbat. She is so scattered all over the place. If you have ever seen her in court she is very unprofessional, forgetful, and appears to be idiotic.
But don't take my word for it, ask anyone that has ever had her do work for them. She don't have a clue. It's nothing personal against the lady, I have seen her in action in several different courts and in a variety of cases.
I know very little about Donna Shumate and Tracie Jordan however I have heard really good things about them from people they work with.
Regardless of what you think of Jack Henderson, Bauer is still the best choice for the job.

There are a couple of good candidates for judge. Regina Gillespie and Robert crumpton are my favorite. The biggest problem I have with Bauer is that Jack Henderson is supporting him and I don't vote for anyone that Jack backs or has a sign for in his yard. He is also supporting Beth Holcomb for clerk. If anyone knows Jack, he's only interested in backing someone who will help him later. So neither of the above I mentioned are gonna get my vote. Not to mention that the Holcomb lady is all ready eligible to retire, I guess she just wants to pad her retirement check.

So, he wasn't actually deported. If he is in jail for a lesser charge, then he could actually be released into the public free to molest others. Hmm....I don't know about that one.....Isn't it always the best choice to prosecute child molesters?

He is locked up now. Maybe for other charges or maybe just for being illegal. I don't know so he may serve time anyway. They could have been part of the decision process. The girl is around 7 and all I know of the story is what involved her.

There's really no right answer on that one. Hard choice and I feel for those that have to make decisions like that. A firing squad would be the best decision.

So, instead of prosecuting him he sent him back to mexico as a free man where he can reenter the US the same way he did the first time.....right choice? IDK?

Joe

I have never meet him as far as I know and all I knew about him is what I just posted. I am glad to hear what you had to say too. That is just more conformation of him being the right guy for the job.

If this is true what you 2 are saying, then VERY good! Past time for toughness! I hope he sticks to those qualities!

I like Fred Bauer. He is a very professional guy, down to earth, common sense, is a vol firefighter, and acts like "one of the guys" when you are a around him. He is a tough ADA, better than most that are in our district. If he has any flaws, it would be that defense attorneys fear him as a judge because he has a reputation for being tough on criminals.
Great guy all around. Great family. And is extremely smart when it comes to the law.

So what you folks know about the judges in the upcoming election?

I will throw out what I heard about current DA Bauer. It seems that there is a case he is dealing with where a little girl was molested by an illegal immigrant living with the girls mother. Apparently due to some other recent case the little girl would have to take the stand and face the man who assaulted her and also be crossed examined by the defense. Bauer weighed the trauma to the girl being forced to face her rapist against the benefits of prosecuting him. He decided the guy would be deported anyway and the girl could get on with her healing so he didn't take the easy prosecution. It would be an easy case for him to win and while running for election it would get his name in the paper in a good way. Instead of doing what would be best for him, he did what would be best for the little girl. I think this is a great quality of a judge who can put common sense and the victims best interest first.

I will be voting for Bauer.
