In the Yadkinville jail according to the mans wife. Her lawyer has all the paper from the hospital stating he was too ill to be released, but the deputies took him anyway.

It is true. He was taken to Forsyth Hospital and was admitted, but the sheriff wouldn't let him stay like the Drs wanted. He made the deputies bring him back to jail because it was starting to snow. The person was in such bad shape the drs wouldn't release him, but he came back jail.

Saves the State a bunch of money is the long run. If a lawsuit is filed insurance will pay for it, other wise the state is over $30,000 per year to the good.

I can see how this could happen. I heard the jailers watched a man have a diabetic seizure for 10 minutes on their monitor and laugh at him, before checking on him.
