Federal Judge Rules in Favor of Yadkin County over Hospital Shutdown

Panty boy its only common sense that the ems is going to carry the person to the closest hospital or the hospital of their choice. There are some exceptions but as a roofer you would have a hard time comprehending them.

At this point like I said already you may as well kiss that hospital good bye. No way now with it being closed down will anyone be able to afford to open it back up and conform to all the regulations and codes that have been written. You would be well advised to plan a Halloween spook house at the old haunted hoots hospital.

I want my Medical records from there. When can I get them. Or can the new imaginary doctor taking new patients send for them? I am having a hard time getting any kind of help to retrieve my records and also in trying to locate a new doctor. This has been a real messed up situation that has unconvinced me.

Fair enough.

I have went one time for a X-ray and my wife's grandma spent a couple days in there while her mom had some respite time from her grandma while on hospice. So you are right, I have had some contact.

I will honestly say you are the first and only person I have ever heard say that someone close to them had a life saving visit there.

It will still have no real impact on the county though for reasons spelled out in my last post. It isn't negative to point out that for almost 100% of this county, better care is just as close or closer. I am only stating the facts.

If you have lived in this area for many years as I have, then you have at sometime been involved with this hospital. I had a very good friend who was having a heart attack and was taken there. They did save this person's life. A family member was in "Hoots" when the doors were closed. They were taken very good care of and the doctor and nurses they had were great. I'm sorry you feel so negative.

I assume you mean the ems agreed with me since they pretty much never brought anyone to hoots and no one ever said ems made a statement, jethro just once again couldn't understand what he read.

Why would ems bring much of anyone to hoots anyway? If you are in jonesville, hamptonville, booneville or anywhere on that side of the county the real hospitals in elkin and wilkesboro are closer. If you were in east bend or anywhere on that side of the county a real hospital in Winston was closer to you. If you lived next door to hoots then you could get to baptist before the nurse out back smoking would show up and call a doctor in to help with any emergency anyway. That is why ems almost 100% of the time drove past hoots to a real hospital. You could get real help beyond the first aid station just as quickly.

Again. This is a NON issue. Notice no one has came on here yet saying they were ever a patient much less had a life saving procedure done there.

Guess they agreed with you......

You're full of crap. There has been no statement made by the ems. You have no clue about medicine or how a hospital operates.

Sitting here reading this, I had to reply. I am in the healthcare field and this hospital is/was considered a joke in the healthcare field. First of all, not all but the majority of the staff were the rudest bunch you would ever meet. This goes for dr's also. The dr's misdiagnosed people on a consistent basis. I give give example after example of this. Half the time there was not even a dr in the building, so I don't know how you can argue the fact that it endangers life when in the time it took for a dr to show up, one could be at another hospital. The statement about EMS is correct. More than one time EMS has said, send them on to Forsyth or Baptist because the local place won't be able to handle it. I've been up there with children who couldn't breath and the staff was duct taping an oxygen tent. It seems like a blessing to the county to me. IF the county would take the time to find someone to run it that wouldn't bring the same pitiful excuses for Dr's back in up there and have a management staff that actually knows whats going on, then it might work.

The saying is you cant fix stupid and ignorant is more true than ever in Yadkin county.

The dog is no expert on rules, ordinances etc... but I do believe that the county had one run up their rectum and were too dumb to realize what happened. When that company shut that hospital down all the compliance to todays regulations, codes went out the door with the employees and company. Its no telling what the cost would be to open the joint back up.

Let me tell you some other costs that will now be put on the county/taxpayer. The county will now have to purchase a morgue to keep bodies in until they are claimed by family or funeral home. How many ambulance units are you running down there now? Still 3? Likely you will have to put on another unit or 2 and hire an outside company to run convalescent calls due to the distance the EMS will be traveling. Now tell me which hospital outside the county is sponsoring the ems? One has to since the hospital does not exist and likely the county will be paying for this also.

I have only presented you rubes the tip of the ice berg so to speak of the additional burden to the taxpayer caused by the lack of a hospital. I cant put a figure on the loss of life caused by the nonexistence. Its far from a non issue. Educate yourselves and dont be fooled by fools.

Seriously man. 20 years ago I was a member of Buck Shoals fire department. Even then EMTs would tell us to drive past Hoots to go Forsyth. This is nothing new.

Panty boy I have been busy with all the shooting up here in Ashe and I have not had time to give you the attention you so deserve.

First off you show your ignorance again in medicine and health care. An emt cant do squat for you and your condition. Put your trust in him and let your wife go ahead and buy your grave marker. A Paramedic on the other hand could save you. That hospital being closed has grave consequences to you, your family, and the 38K living down there. I will give you one more example of your short sited thinking. That ER carried clot busting drugs that could mean life or death to a MI or stroke patient. One more, granny over at the county home only needs fluids for a couple of days because the county home was not hydrated them. Learn all the ends and outs of emergency medicine before looking like the panty boy you are.

Your home work is to learn what an emt is verses a paramedic and what an Rn is verses a PA. Btw I call BS on you ever being a member of a hose jockey club.

Norma Rae

I went back and reread the posts this morning and caught that too. It gave me a good chuckle. Spelling was never a strong suit and autocorrect on my phone doesn't help.

It's "non issue", not "none issue".

If you have any other questions post them. If I have time I will answer them tomorrow. Since a couple of people in this county of 38,000 are concerned about this none issue, I will try to help.

Funny thing...

A little over a month ago a mouth breather was describing this event as being the worst economic event Yadkin county ever saw. Then a few hours ago I see an article about Unifi invest $10 million in Yadkin county and doubling the size of their plant!!! LOL!!!

When will you people learn to just sit back and listen to me??? This is a none issue. If you will just listen I will tell you. Jethro Bodine from Jefferson with his "sixth grade education" has no idea what he is talking about.

If this wasn't so sad it would be funny.

Seriously? Are you taking guidance from an inbreed from Ashe county who thinks modern medicine includes Grannys shine and snuff??? LOL!!!!

I don't need to validate myself, but I will say something about this situation. The lack of a local first aid station will do nothing to hurt the Yadkin county economy. It will also not affect healthcare in this county because no one goes there. If there was interest then it would still be open based on the laws of supply and demand. Pretty much anyone in this county can get to a better facility in less than twenty minutes, most in less than ten. Assuming that they get to the Yadkinville first aid station and the ER nurse isn't out back smoking a cigarette. If that is the case then the admitting time would be pretty much equal. The difference is the level of care you get after being admitted.

Seriously man. 20 years ago I was a member of Buck Shoals fire department. Even then EMTs would tell us to drive past Hoots to go Forsyth. This is nothing new.

LOL. First let's deal with the new member frig.....

It is clear that either you or someone close to you has been affected by this shutdown. I understand that and have total sympathy for the 150 people who lost their jobs by no fault of their own. I have been there. I was once the victim of mass layoffs and lost my job by no fault of my own. It sucks. I get it. Been there, done that.

Here is some reality. In a year from now all those who lost their jobs will have other employment. It may mean driving an extra 20 minutes to a real hospital or in the case of all the CNAs, a nursing home, but all will be employed. No one promised you a lifetime of employment at a Yadkinville based hospital. This is the real world. Deal with it.

In one year the only people who will still care about the Yadkinville first aid station closure will be the people who own the building. No one else. This will be a none issue.

Notice how no one mentioned ever being a patient there? It is because the facility has always been irrelevant. That is still the case.

Frig, panty boy is a roofer. He creates nothing in Yadkin and injects nothing in yadkin. His ignorance toward the hospital is second to none.

frig

Posted 10:37 pm, 07/15/2015

fiesta, why don't you create 150 jobs for the employees that lost their jobs at the hospital, or better yet inject that out of state money back into the hospital and make it good enough to please yourself then your wife won't have to drive you to Winston for your diabetic crisis and there's more money that will stay in this county

frig

Fiesta, you create jobs in this county and bring out of state money and inject it back into the county. The way you brag just wondering is it legal.
