This is true Redfly. They did own the Wilkes teams for years. No argument there.

Redfly...enjoy whatever team you support..probably one of the Yadkin county teams that The Wilkes teams squashed this year or Ashe...or Alleghany...or keep hiding behind who you support.

Wow, you missed that all together topflight, but how many years have those Yadkin/Surry/Elkin teams wore you all out up there.

Great job Eagles. Statement made. Good game. Eagles defense that I was talking junk about really stepped it up. Wow eating crow really stinks. But my belly is full!!

Is this for the so-called Wilkes County State Title that I have been hearing about. Since none of that conferences teams are going to get close to smelling a State Football Championship, I guess you feel like you have accomplished something if you win the conference you all are in.

All I have to say is this is the 3rd time this year people have come on here talking about Central not having a chance. West was too big for them. Ashe would make the scoreboard roll. Thankfully, it doesn't look like those boys read GoWilkes. Having seen both East and Central play in person, I think you might be underestimating Central just a little. But I don't think they mind.

Big games tonight. Could the jv games be an omen of what could happen tonight? Let's hope so. With EW come from behing JV game last night, it was a carbon copy of last years varsity game. 1st half all WC. 2nd half all EW. Great jv game. Good jv victory to the 9-0 Cards.

Yardage wise i would say that Parsons is well over 400 yds less. Yds per carry would def go to Parsons, total tds probably close as well.

Parsons yard per carry is way more than the kid from North. He isn't that far behind in yardage with probably 100 less touches. I am not sure how they compare with TD's but probably aren't that far apart.

Depending on who wins the conference. If WC wins it will possibly go to Parsons. Normally the coaches tend to pick the offensive individual who's yardage and stats is at the very top of the list. Grimes gets 40 carries a game. He gets a gazillion yards a game. Ew, Ww, and Wc share the wealth with other athletes a lot more than Nw does. In essence Grimes numbers are gonna big bigger. Make no mistake, he is a workhorse!!!

Ellis Shouldn't win POY .. because his team will be lucky to finish 5th... Grimes is a good Back playing behind a great line.. Parsons IMO would defiantly have to be considered POY.. He would Stand out On any team.. Except for maybe EAST. Because they share the ball so much...( BUT football is a team Sport)

This is football season. Maybe you need to start a Wells Fargo thread, and see how many responses it gets. All i know is that EW and WC are both playing well. Don't chastise or belittle fans that represent their team. Rep WC the way you see fit, and Ew fans wont try to act like they've been there before like you seem to think WC has. Both programs are steadily improving as all Wilkes County football teams are as a whole. Not just WC. There are 3 other High Schools in the county. The Wells Fargo cup is nice. Im sure everyone on this football thread is just stoked about it.

WC conistleny wins the Wells's fargo Cup for overall athletic success and 1a teams are given credit for their share of the split conference. The two programs aren't even comparable.

I will be here to congratulate WC if they win. Just make sure you are on here usa to do the same thing if EW wins. Lol. For the record im not chest bumping for what EW is doing. I'm just stating that WC and Ashe shoud dominate the conference year in and year out. Starmount nor EW (1a schools) should never beat y'all.

East is as successful as WC. We're proud of our team, just as you are yours. With the school the size of yours, you should be winning more than you do. Not saying EW will win this Friday night, but the fact that a school half your size is getting recognized and and on your radar is kind of pathetic. Other than your girls basketball team and a few other minor sports, WC has been average at best. Good luck Friday night. I mean you really shouldnt need it playin lil ole EW. We will be in the Big Metropolis of Moravian Falls to take whatever you can give us.

You can tell EW fans aren't used to success at the athletic level.
