Former American Idol contestant, Heather Cox Coe, needs our support.
Coe was a top 20 finalist on season five of American Idol in 2006. Since that time she has had an active music ministry, married and had three children. In 2010, however, Coe began to have health problems beginning with severe headaches and migraines and non-epileptic seizures. She was diagnosed with having a pineal gland tumor in the center of her brain, which doctors said could only be removed by way of a dangerous craniotomy, which could potentially leave Coe with brain damage or even dead.
Coe and her family refused to give up hope, however, and eventually found a surgeon who could perform a much less invasive surgery to remove the tumor. During the four and half years Coe has been struggling with her health condition, she has been hospitalized 18 times. Medical bills have racked up quickly for her and her family, not to mention the $30,000 price tag for brain surgery.
Members of Coes family and church have helped to organize "Heather's Hope" in order to raise the $30,000 surgeons fee for Coes surgery, which is scheduled next month.
Event includes live music, raffle prizes, food, drinks, bouncy houses for the kids and a special guest speaker, former NFL Super Bowl Champion with the New England Patriots, Brian Holloway. Super Bowl 2015 tickets also will be up for auction at the event.
